Current status
- Qevizo is an Android rewards app operated by Gufran Khan. It is in development and has not been released, so there are no public Qevizo accounts.
- Account deletion is not in operation yet. Neither the option inside the app nor the process behind it has been built.
- This page describes the process we plan to offer. It will be completed, with timescales and retention periods, before Qevizo is released.
1. How to ask for deletion
When Qevizo is released there will be two ways to ask for your account and the personal information linked to it to be deleted. You will not need to install or reinstall the app to use the first.
By email, without the app
- Email support.qevizo@gmail.com from the email address registered on your Qevizo account.
- Use the subject “Delete my Qevizo account”.
- We reply to that address and ask you to confirm. Reply from the same address to confirm.
- We delete the account, then email you to say it has been done and what, if anything, was kept.
In the app
The app will have a “Delete account” option on the Profile screen. You will confirm the request with your password. This option has not been built yet.
2. How we confirm it is you
- A request by email must come from, and be confirmed from, the email address registered on the account. A request in the app must be made while signed in and confirmed with your password.
- We will never ask for your password by email, or for a UPI PIN, a one-time code or card details.
- If we cannot confirm that a request is from the account holder, we will not act on it, to protect the account.
3. Before you ask
- Deletion is permanent. A deleted account cannot be restored.
- Check your Coin balance first. After deletion you can no longer request a withdrawal. Section 11 of the Terms & Conditions covers what happens to a balance when an account is closed. Parts of it are still undecided.
- If you have a withdrawal request that has no outcome yet, we will tell you how it will be handled before we delete anything.
4. What we plan to delete
- Your email address and password hash.
- Your sign-in sessions and tokens.
- Saved payout details that no withdrawal was ever requested with.
- Anything else that identifies you and that we have no reason, described in section 5, to keep.
5. What we may need to keep, and why
- Records of withdrawals and payments, including the payout details a payment was sent to and the payment reference: to show what was paid, to handle disputes, and to meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations.
- The record of Coins credited, reversed and withdrawn, and the activity records behind it: so that the service’s accounts stay complete and fraud can be investigated.
- Limited fraud-prevention information, such as a fingerprint of payout details that does not reveal them: to stop a closed account being used to repeat abuse.
- Emails you sent to support, including the deletion request itself: as a record that we acted on it.
How long each of these is kept has not been decided. We will publish the periods here and in the Privacy Policy before Qevizo is released, and we will not describe anything as deleted while it is still kept.
6. How long it takes
We have not yet set how quickly a request is acknowledged or completed. Both will be published here before Qevizo is released.
7. Removing some information without deleting your account
You can remove saved payout details in the app at any time. Details that no withdrawal was requested with are erased at once. To ask about anything else, email support.qevizo@gmail.com.
8. Questions and complaints
Email support.qevizo@gmail.com or see the Contact page. The Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is handled and your other rights.
Review before launch
Do not give this address to Google Play as the account-deletion link until every item below is done and the “not in operation” statements above have been removed.
- Server: build account deletion. Today no deletion function exists, and the database refuses to delete an account that has a wallet, together with its Coin, activity and withdrawal records.
- App: add “Delete account” to the Profile screen, with password confirmation and a clear warning.
- Decide, with a lawyer, exactly what is deleted, what is anonymised and what is kept, and for how long, then make sections 4 and 5 match what the server does.
- Decide what happens to a remaining balance and to an open withdrawal request.
- Set and publish the acknowledgement and completion times in section 6.
- Decide how to verify a user who can no longer use their registered email address.
- Test a deletion request from start to finish, by email and in the app, before publishing.
- In Play Console, enter this page’s address as the account-deletion link in the Data safety form, and make sure the form’s answers on data collection and deletion match the Privacy Policy.
